Completely understanding when we had a last minute surgery with one of the girls and she ended up having to take her 3 days post-op. The girls came back tired, happy, and well-taken care of. “Lanie was my postpartum doula and came to my home 3-4 times a week for almost 4 months, so we’ve spent a significant amount of time together. She was so affectionate and patient with our corgi, Theo, who was adjusting to having a new human brother. Theo likes to jump up to greet humans and we had asked Lanie not to reward his jumping behavior. Lanie was very respectful of our request and would ask Theo to “off” or “sit” and only pet him when he had all paws on the ground. Lanie takes great initiative in her work and will ask relevant questions to ensure she’s being as helpful as possible. I am confident she will make any dog in her care feel safe and loved - after all she looks after newborns and also had a dog of her own for over a decade!”
